On April 1, 2022 — Newport Systems Inc.
Under the leadership of John Shewchuk, Chief Technical Officer and Martha Pasznik, Director of Product and Process Management, the company has executed its plan to re-organize Newport and attract the right talent to execute on the company’s transition plan. John has successfully recruited highly skilled and dedicated technologists to implement the technical roadmap for our future. The roadmap facilitates our transition from legacy systems to a dynamic modern platform with the support of four new dynamic software developers, an exceptional Security and Network administrator, and external consulting partners. In a short term, the technical team has delivered a cross browser solution for the DMS and WES systems, client user test environments, automated deployments, the creation of advanced APIs, and Direct Connect technology for all integrations going forward.
The systems support team has added a technical quality control person, and three new systems support personnel. Within the system support group, we have deployed the Zen-Desk ticketing and customer support system which will be deployed externally to clients later this summer. We are very excited about the new team and the direction Newport is heading.
In conjunction with this effort, Newport will be rolling out a new website and brand enhancement early in the fourth quarter representative of Newport’s commitment to evolve and exceed the demands of the multi-modal supply chain. Part of Newport’s technical evolution is to transition our systems and solutions to a single source platform, NSi-MODAL. This transition will be done in parallel with our day-to-day operation and commitment to customer support. Bob Morton, President
